Dougie Poynter of rock pop band McFly was crowned king of the jungle in the ITV reality TV show 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here' by beating fellow finalist and TOWIE star Mark Wright in the grand final.
Like fellow Celebrity Jungle contestant Mark Wright, Dougie hails from Essex and the 24 year old is probably best known as the bassist in pop rock band McFly. Poynter has also provided backing and lead vocals for the band - talents which he also demonstrated whilst in the jungle!
During 2010, Dougie Poynter was dating Frankie Sandford from the popular girl band The Saturdays, but the have since split. The fallout from this saw Dougie in rehab.
However judging by his performances in the ITV reality show, he's back to his best providing plenty of laughs and good natured banter with his fellow camp mates.
His popularity in the show was such that he saw off two of the early favourites to win I'm A Celebrity - Jessica-Jane Clement and Mark Wright - to deservedly win the king of the jungle crown.
